Cure Time by Wax Type
Different waxes require different cure times due to their molecular structure:

- Coconut wax: 10 to 14 days. Similar to soy, coconut wax benefits from an extended cure period.
- Paraffin: 2 to 5 days. Paraffin bonds with fragrance quickly and has the shortest cure time.
- Beeswax: 5 to 7 days. A moderate cure time that helps fragrance adhere to the dense wax.
- Blends: Typically 7 to 14 days depending on the ratio of natural to synthetic waxes.

- Fragrance load: Higher fragrance percentages generally need longer cure times for the wax to fully absorb the oil.
- Container size: Larger candles take slightly longer to cure throughout because the center cools more slowly.
- Storage conditions: Candles cure best at 70 to 75 degrees Fahrenheit in a dry, dark location with no drafts.
- Colorants: Dye chips and blocks can slightly extend cure time compared to liquid dyes.
How to Cure Candles Properly
- Allow candles to cool completely after pouring (at least 24 hours).
